PRIVACY PROTECTION POLICY
At The Inn at Christie’s Mill we recognize the
importance of privacy. We are committed to earning the trust
of our guests by adopting the highest standards in protecting
personal information.
This policy statement outlines the type of personal information
we receive and collect, the circumstances in which we receive
and collect it, the procedures and policies we have adopted
regarding its storage and use, and for, in limited circumstances,
the sharing of certain types of personal information. We also
outline the procedures you should follow if you have queries
or requests regarding your personal information or our policies
and procedures and the persons to whom any queries and requests
should be directed, and the means of communicating with those
persons.
In addition to the Inn at Christie's Mill full-time staff,
we also utilize the services of third party consultants, agencies
and individuals in the delivery of our services. In the course
of their duties they may from time to time, have access to
certain personal information. As much as is feasible, this
access is strictly limited and policed. We request and receive
assurances from every third party that they adopt and adhere
to our privacy policies.
In our policy, personal information means information about
you that is personally identifiable such as your name, address,
e-mail address, telephone or fax number, and that is not otherwise
publicly available, and is not part of your employment identification.
It also includes information on guest preferences and service
usage, when that information is supplied to, or recorded by
us in the course of business transactions with an individual.
The Inn at Christie’s Mill Privacy Protection Policy
does not apply to information relating to corporate customers.
Such information is however, protected by other policies and
contractual arrangements..
WHEN DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We disclose personal information only in strictly limited
circumstances, and never to any third party for the purpose
of solicitation.
a) We may disclose a guest’s personal information
to a person who, in our reasonable judgement, is acting as
an agent of that guest, for example, a travel agent.
b) Personal information may be shared with a third party
involved in supplying services to a guest which we have contracted
that third party to provide.
c) Personal information may be shared with a third party
that The Inn at Christie’s Mill has retained to perform
functions such as data processing, surveys or research on
our behalf.
d) We may share information with an agent retained by us
to evaluate an individual’s creditworthiness or to collect
overdue accounts.
e) Personal information may be shared with a public authority
or its agent if, in our reasonable judgement, there is an
imminent danger to life or property which could be minimized
or avoided by disclosing that information, or when disclosure
is compelled by that authority.

US WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION MAKING A RESERVATION
MAKING A RESERVATION
When making a reservation or using our services, we must
have information in order to identify you, contact you, and
to process your booking and/or requests. This will normally
include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address,
credit card number and expiry date. It may also include, at
your discretion, your preferences as to type of accommodation,
type and size of bed, etc. From time to time, we may make
special offers, which have qualifying criteria. These offers
may for example be for seniors or children. To assess your
eligibility we would need to record dates of birth at the
time of booking with further verification at check-in.
PARTICIPATION IN A MARKETING INITIATIVE
The Inn at Christie’s Mill may from time to time,
offer you the chance to receive timely notification of special
events or offers. The personal information we would need for
this service would include your first and last names physical
address and your e-mail address. You may unsubscribe to any
service of this nature at any time.
LOYALTY PROGRAMS
The Inn at Christie’s Mill Loyalty program offers
special rates and benefits to guests. As this program delivers
an enhanced degree of service personalization, additional
personal information is required. Membership is voluntary,
and by choosing to join you consent to the supply and use
of this information.
COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING SERVICE DELIVERY
SUCH AS COMMENT CARDS
Any information that you provide to us will only be used
to record your comments, communicate with you with regard
to them, reviewing them with the service providers concerned,
acknowledging employees for quality of service delivery, and
for developing improvements in service.
VISITING OUR WEBSITE
When you browse our website, no personally identifiable
information is collected. That means that unless you provide
us with that information voluntarily, we will not know your
name, e-mail address or any other information. Any website
user’s information that is automatically collected by
our servers is used to ensure that our website operates as
it is designed to do, to better understand how you use the
site, and how we can best tailor its contents and functionality
to meet your needs.
